How to Get Rid of Pimple Scars
By ane fallarme
Stress = Pimples, Pimples = Scars, Scars = Nasty
I don't know about you, but I break out easily, especially when I am stressed out, which is like 6 days out of 7. Which is weird because when I was younger, I never had any problems with pimples, I rarely ever got a pimple when I was in high school. I started to have pimple problems right after my first child was born and since then, my skin became super sensitive.
Being a mom and a wife and keeping an online job really takes a toll on my skin. I break out and my break outs have break outs. Not a pretty sight at all. I feel self conscious every time my skin breaks out, I hate getting pimples but because I have super sensitive skin, it can't be helped.
I have somewhat become quite knowledgeable on getting rid of pimple marks/scars because I have had to deal with them quite a lot these days. I hope some of these tips will be able to help someone else who is dealing with the same skin problems. However, I don't claim to be an EXPERT and it is always better to go to a dermatologist if you have severe pimple problems.

Tips to Avoid Pimples
First things first, these are things that I do myself and it has worked for me, if it doesn't work for you, then I am sorry. I AM NOT AN EXPERT AND I DON'T CLAIM TO BE ONE, I just want to share a few of the things that have worked for me.
I am very bad at keeping a routine, but when I finally did keep a routine, I find it easier to keep pimples away. Routine is the key if you want to have clear skin, because nowadays, there are so many pollutants that harm the skin which is why it is very important to wash it at least twice daily. Here are a few tips you should give a try to keep your skin pimple free.
- Get to Know Your Skin. - First things first, get to know your skin type. You can see a dermatologist for this, if you don't want to pay for a consultation, you can always go to one of those make-over booths and they will help you figure out what type of skin you have. Knowing your skin type is very important because when you know what type of skin you have, it will be easier to find products you can use to help you keep your skin pimple free.
- Set up a Regimen. - If you don't have a skin care regimen, then it's time to have one. Start washing your face at least twice daily, once in the morning and once at night. Like what I have said above, routine is the key to keeping your skin pimple free, it can be a hassle and you may forget, but when you stick to a facial care routine, pimples will be a thing of the past, so set up an alarm or whatever, just make sure you stick to your regimen.
- Wash, Tone and Moisturize. - That is basically what you need to remember to include in your regimen. Look for a good facial wash, toner and moisturizer that suits your skin type, otherwise it won't work. I have super sensitive and oily skin, and I find that The Tea Tree Line from The Body Shop works wonders for my skin, it can be quite pricey, which is why I also use Garnier facial scrub and moisturizing cream as an alternative.
- Get a Facial. - Treat your face at least once or twice a month. There are a lot of dirt on your face that washing alone can't clean, so it's a good idea to get a facial at least once or twice a month. You can either do it at home with a good facial mask kit or you can have it done professionally, either way, your skin will come out looking fresh and clean and you will feel amazing afterwards.
Tips to Get Rid of Pimple Marks
If you're like me, then pimples have already gotten the best of you and now you have ugly pimple marks that you want to get rid of. Well, the bad news is, it takes a lot of time for pimple scars to fade out, they aren't called scars for nothing, however, the good news is, there are products that will hide these ugly marks and in time you won't even notice them anymore.
Get a Good Concealer. - I use The Body Shop's Tea Tree Concealer and it works like a charm. It not only hides nasty pimple marks, it also helps soothe the skin so if you have pimples the concealer hides them and helps cure them. Garnier's Dark Spot correction pen is a great alternative.
Baking Soda. - My mom swears by this, I haven't tried it, but my sister has and her pimple marks have almost completely disappeared and are now minor spots that look like freckles, so not a bad idea to try it out. I haven't tried it but I will.
Get Rid of Pimples and Then Deal with the Pimple Marks. - Common sense, you can't treat your scars if you have existing pimples, so get rid of the pimples first and then deal with the scars.
I hope you find these things helpful, it usually takes at least 28 days for pimple marks to fade out, so don't be impatient. Just stick to the regimen and soon you'll have clear skin. If however, these things don't work for you, then maybe it's time to consult a dermatologist because you may have an underlying skin condition only an expert can treat.
